Have you ever wanted to create stand-alone self-running document files? Multimedia Designer (MMD) is the latest program to offer multimedia capability to the home or business user at an affordable price. MMD allows the creation of self-running programs with dozens of pages containing graphics, sounds and animation.
Features
• Pixel precision placement of pictures
• A decent number of pictures per page (up to 256)
• Multiple script commands (eg play a sound, then go to the next page)
• Easy to use point and click script commands (no more messy typing)
• Use of variables in scripts
• Animation, with full control over the start/stop frames, speed and timing
• Floating windows for ease of use
• Each page can have a different background colour, picture or tiled pattern
• Pages can also have script commands
• Small document size
• No royalties on documents you create
• Not expensive to register
• Final document can be run without the MMD application
Multimedia Designer (MMD) requires a 68020 Macintosh (minimum) or PowerMac, 2 Mb of free RAM, and a minimum 13 inch 256 colour monitor. System 7 is also required.
The following files should be here.
• Multimedia Designer v1.0 (The MMD program)
• MMD Data File (A data file used by MMD)
• Manual (The manual describing the features of MMD)
• Sample Document (A sample document which was created in MMD)
• Read Me (Contains important information)
• Current Web Site (An internet jump file for Netscape Navigator)
• Registration Form (The registration form can also be printed from within the Manual)
Note: The copying and pasting of graphics from one program to another utilises the system memory. It is therefore advisable to leave some memory on your computer free as a 'buffer' zone for the system. Your document files will run perfectly fine, however the MMD application program (used to create documents) can run into memory difficulties if there is insufficient system memory to paste in large graphics. It is therefore advisable to keep a backup copy of your document. If you have problems running MMD then there may be a extension clash with some of your extensions or control panels.
Note: On slower computers, performing a double click on an object may not open that object if there are a lot of graphics on the page. This is due to the fact that the screen is redrawn after the first click and may take longer than the allowed time for a double click. If this does occur, simply select "Edit Object" from the 'Object' menu.
IMPORTANT!
Feel free to open up the 'Manual' or 'Sample Document' documents from within Multimedia Designer to see how they were created. However note that it is advisable to use a copy instead of the original as MMD utilises an autosave system and you wouldn’t want to accidentally change either document.
MMD is shareware. All shareware details are given in the program under the apple menu. Please note that I do not accept credit card numbers. MMD has been fully tested, although I except no responsibility for any problems or loss of data. Also, don’t modify the program or the attached files in any way. This program was developed using Think C v6.0
I now have a web site and e-mail address. The web site contains the latest information regarding MMD and my other programs. To access my web site enter the address into your browsers URL location (If you have Netscape Navigator, simply double click on the "Current web site" file).

About Myself: I am currently completing my final year of a bachelor of electronic engineering degree (in 1997) before seeking employment. I am majoring in software engineering and high-level hardware design. As a point of interest my final year project is creating a neural network based PID controller for a crane. In my spare time I like producing software for the Macintosh (including the 60 level puzzle game Rock Solid), all of which is created using Think C v6. Currently all software I produce at University is under Borland C running on IBM clones. Any comments or questions then e-mail me.
